Theory: Clara meets the Doctor because he dies on Trenzalore and she jumps into his time stream. She changes the future regardless of this, and tells the Doctor to save Gallifrey and the Time Lords, who consequently save the Doctor’s life by Clara’s request. Time Lords can manage paradoxes to a certain degree and because of Clara’s actions, they’re preventing damage to her timeline. Without Clara’s intervention, the Doctor never would’ve saved Gallifrey nor have survived long enough to even try. It’s in the Time Lords’ best interest to keep Clara’s timeline and actions intact. Season 7 couldn’t have happened, but the effects of her actions still remain, because the Doctor’s current existence and Gallifrey’s survival depends entirely on Clara Oswald.

Tatiana: You can so easily get wrapped up in the awards and the accolades, or the critical response, or the criticism, or the praise, and lose sight of the fact that — you know, I’m an actor and my favourite thing in the world is acting. I don’t feel like myself when I’m not acting. So much of my identity is acting.
